# Voice Kata — a voice people lean in to Source: https://voicekata.com/ Site: Voice Kata — a voice coach in your browser for the speaking voice (https://voicekata.com) Louder without shouting. Clear to the last word. Steady when it matters. Six lines out loud, a teacher who stops you where it slips, ten minutes a day. ## How it works Pick a purpose: Dating, Presentation, or Everyday. Start with a warm-up read, which becomes your own baseline. Then read six short lines. The teacher stops you where a line misses today's goal, tells you what to do and where to start, and you redo only that line. Finish the form to add to your belt progress. ## The goals - **Loudness** — a stronger, louder voice without pushing. - **Projection** — more ring, for a voice that carries across a room. - **Phrase ends** — keep the voice supported to the last word. - **Pauses** — let each phrase land instead of running them together. - **Pitch variety** — move your pitch more and sound less monotone. - **Clarity** — use a clean, focused tone that is less breathy. This is tone, not diction. ## Purposes - **Dating** — Warm and present. Easy to listen to across a table. - **Presentation** — Carry the room and hold attention. - **Everyday** — Your normal voice, a little better. ## Privacy Pitch and tone analysis runs in the browser. Only the read-along recognizer, Vosk on our own EU server, hears audio to follow which word you are on. It is told the line's words only and never writes audio to disk. No recording is ever stored. ## Guides - [How to improve your speaking voice](https://voicekata.com/speaking-voice-training) - [How to speak louder without shouting](https://voicekata.com/how-to-speak-louder-without-shouting) - [How to project your voice without yelling](https://voicekata.com/how-to-project-your-voice) - [How to stop vocal fry](https://voicekata.com/how-to-stop-vocal-fry) - [How to speak slower](https://voicekata.com/how-to-speak-slower) - [How to fix a monotone voice](https://voicekata.com/how-to-fix-a-monotone-voice) - [How to talk clearly](https://voicekata.com/how-to-talk-clearly) - [A steady voice when presenting](https://voicekata.com/nervous-voice-when-presenting) - [Sound calm on a first date](https://voicekata.com/sound-calm-on-a-first-date)
